EK Wireless | Houston's #1 Cell Phone Repair & Unlocking Store News, Reviews IPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max: The Difference!

The market is raging with the new Apple hits. You guessed it right: iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max! With a variety of neat pastel colors available for both the iPhone 12 pro variations, the matte finish of the exterior, and a stronger steel body, it is no wonder that everyone is curious to try these two out.

As compared to other versions of iPhone, there are many new features and updates in the iPhone 12 pros, so let’s see what the major differences between older iPhone series and the new iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max models are. Well, the one thing that is not different in both Apple models is the price. Both iPhone 12 pros will cost you the same, but some of their features vary.

What Makes iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max Different?

  1. Size: The iPhone 12 Pro Max is larger in size than the iPhone 12 Pro. It is given away by the term ‘Max’ in its name, isn’t it? The Pro Max model measures 6.7 inches diagonally across the phone and the iPhone Pro measures 6.1 inches. The screen sizes are rationally smaller than these, obviously. However, if any of you movie or gaming fans were to choose between these two models, iPhone 12 Pro Max would be your choice as its bigger size allows for better visuals and easier game controls.
  2. Colors: Both iPhone 12 Pros come in soft, decent colors that are given a matte finish. The colors available for these are Silver, Graphite, Pacific Blue, and Gold. The silver and graphite are Apple’s usual colors, but the Gold and Pacific Blue have got people turning heads.
  3. Stainless steel sides: The previous iPhone models had aluminium sides but these two new hits have stainless steel sides which shine better, are stronger, and go very well with its matte colors.
  4. Cameras: iPhones are famous for their extraordinary camera quality and features. With the new iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, Apple has maintained this selling point quite impressively. Here is what is new about the new Pros’ cameras:
    • Deep Fusion: Deep fusion is an image processing feature in these new models that enhances each pixel of your photos.
    • Ultra Wide Camera: Both the cameras have an astounding image result through its 12 megapixel ultra wide cameras and wide cameras.
    • TelePhoto Camera: The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 2.5x telephoto zoom and the iPhone 12 Pro has 2x telephoto zoom. This means that you can zoom up to 2x and 2.5x with no degradation of the photo quality.
    • Lidar Sensor: This is one of the most impressive features of both iPhone 12 Pro models. The back cameras have Lidar sensor allowing for better auto focus and AR in photos as well as videos. Talk about some good tech!
    • ProRAW Image format: While this image format is currently shown as ‘coming soon’ for the iPhone 12 Pros, it is expected to be of great potential for photographers and videographers. The feature is said to make use of multi-frame processing and computational photography like Deep Fusion and Smart HDR and delivers an image in RAW format.

The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max are impressive, like all other iPhone versions, but only better!
