Apple Could Launch the M2 MacBook Air on July 15!

EK Wireless | Houston's #1 Cell Phone Repair & Unlocking Store News, Reviews Apple Could Launch the M2 MacBook Air on July 15!

Apple revealed the new M2 processor and a new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro model at WWDC 2022, both of which are powered by the new chip. Although the business began taking pre-orders for the M2 MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air hasn’t yet been distributed to customers. You’ll likely have to wait another two weeks or more, according to a recent article.

According to information gathered from an unnamed retail source, Apple may begin taking pre-orders for the new M2 MacBook Air on July 8. Retail availability might start a week later, on July 15, according to the article.

The new MacBook has been completely redesigned both within and externally, unlike the MacBook Pro. The new design takes design ideas from the expensive 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models as well as the sharp edges of the iPhone 13 series. The redesigned, slimmer chassis hides a new 13.6-inch display with a notch that appears to be an addition inspired by the MacBook Pro.

Customers will be able to take use of the new chip’s capabilities in a tiny, light, and silent (fanless) form factor once the new M2 MacBook Air deliveries start. According to Apple, the M2 processor is 20% quicker than the M1. Additionally, support has been increased to 24 GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. Recent performance testing comparing the M2 processor to other Apple chips have also confirmed the company’s performance promises. The performance of the MacBook Air could be hindered by its passive cooling system, but overall, it should be a respectable improvement over the M1 CPU.

Along with the traditional Space Gray and Silver finishes from Apple, the new MacBook Air will now be offered in Midnight (a deeper shade of blue) and Starlight (similar to champagne color). The price of the laptop ranges from $1,199 to $2,499 for the model with the largest RAM and storage. If you want a less expensive MacBook Air, the M1-powered model is still offered in stores and online at Apple for a starting price of $999.
