Apple is looking forward to dropping its iPhone 14 series this September, continuing the legacy of releasing new series every fall. This series will consist of 4 models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. While the first two versions are standard and affordable, the latter ones are to be considered more exclusive and higher end.

Since we have shared an overview on all the four model, including the affordable series, this blog is for a deep insight into these Pro models.

Design:

According to rumors, there is going to be a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro max.

While the non pro models are expected to have notch, the pro series will have two display cutouts. The first pill shaped cutout display will be to assist the face id dot protector and other face id components and the second one will house the front facing camera.

What’s more that sets apart the pro series from iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 max? The pro series is expected to have a titanium chassis rather than an aluminum chassis used by iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 max.

Camera:

Although there will be improvements in the front lenses of all the models with wider aperture and autofocus capabilities, the pro series might introduce 48-megapixel camera and 8k video recording capabilities, making the Pro models the most desirable in the series. Some other improvements in the telephoto lens and the ultra-wide are also expected.

Moreover, the pro series is expected to get an updated A16 chip making it exclusive from iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.

Promotion display:

The two versions will still support the 120Hz ProMotion display technology, and speculations indicate that ProMotion will probably still only be available on more premium iPhone models. Despite some speculations suggesting that all iPhone 14 models could receive 120Hz refresh rates, display analyst Ross Young thinks this is unlikely to happen due to display availability difficulties.

Always on display:

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, iOS 16’s Lock Screen widget feature will work with the always-on display. Owners of the iPhone Pro and Pro Max will be able to view data such as weather, fitness, reminders, calendar events, and more without waking the iPhone’s display.

The iOS 16 wallpapers will have a “Sleep” state that will make the wallpaper darker and use less energy thanks to the always-on display technology. The darker hue will work well for a dim always-on display and is likely to switch on and become brighter when the display is turned on actively.

iPhone 14 Pro Models Colors:

According to an unconfirmed report, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro may be available in purple. The rumor indicates, though it hasn’t been confirmed, that the iPhone 14 and iPhone Pro models will both be offered in a purple color with a distinctive finish that changes tone depending on the lighting.

Sizes:

In 2022, there won’t be a 5.4-inch iPhone since Apple is discontinuing the “small” series due to weak sales. The final little phone will be the iPhone 13 mini, and moving forward, Apple is anticipated to concentrate on larger iPhones with screen sizes between 6.1 and 6.7 inches for its flagship products.

We anticipate the release of four new iPhone models: the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max, with the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max replacing the mini model.

iPhone 14 Pro Models Pricing:

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will raise the cost of the iPhone 14 Pro variants in comparison to the iPhone 13 Pro models. Kuo stated that the average selling price of the iPhone 14 series will rise by around 15%, while he refrained from giving specific pricing information.

The 14 Pro model could start at $1,099 and the 14 Pro Max could start at $1,199 if prices increase by about 10%, but specific pricing is unknown. According to earlier rumors, there won’t be any price increases for the regular iPhone 14 models.

Physical Sim Slot:

Apple may shift to an eSIM-only design with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, which would eliminate the need for a physical SIM slot. According to reports, Apple has advised major U.S. carriers to get ready for the 2022 release of eSIM-only handsets. This raises the possibility that some iPhone 14 models would be the first to lack a SIM card slot.

Apple offered some iPhone 13 units without a nano-SIM in the package; cellular plans might be activated using an eSIM instead. Cellular plans can be added to a smartphone utilizing an eSIM rather than a nano-SIM.

Since eSIM technology isn’t accessible everywhere, some regions’ iPhones will still require having a nano-SIM slot. It may be optional in nations where a SIM-free iPhone is offered, allowing customers to still select a model that includes a SIM. A list of the more than 60 nations that support eSIM may be seen on Apple’s website.

iPhone 14 Pro Models Release date:

On September 7, at an event dedicated to the iPhone, which Apple has planned, the iPhone 14 versions may be shown.

Foxconn, an Apple partner, is said to have started testing the iPhone 14 Pro in February, indicating that the device’s design is complete; component shipments started in late June. To prepare for the manufacturing of the iPhone 14, Foxconn is increasing hiring and rewarding new hires who stay with the company for at least four months with bonuses. Apple has purchased 90 million of the iPhone 14 variants in anticipation of strong demand.

Due to pandemic-related delays in China, at least one of the iPhone 14 models is currently three weeks behind schedule, which suggests that one of the devices will be delayed or short in supply at launch.
