Apple has stated that an event will be held on March 8, at which the company is expected to unveil a new iPhone SE, iPad Air, and maybe new Macs.
Peek Performance is the name of the event, which will take place on March 8 at 10 a.m. PST from Apple Park. It will be held remotely, as has been the case with all of Apple’s recent events.
According to multiple sources, a new iPhone SE with a similar design to the existing one will be presented, maybe with 5G and other internal changes. For several years, Apple’s budget iPhone has been the best cheap iPhone available, and the only option for consumers who still wish to use Touch ID.
According to reports, Apple’s upcoming iPad Air will include a 5G connection as well as a new A15 chip. Given the prior model’s considerable enhancements, this is expected to be a less severe adjustment in the product portfolio.
Apple is reportedly anticipated to unveil at least one new Mac at the event, though there are conflicting reports as to what it will be. According to Mark Gurman, Apple is working on a new MacBook Pro. According to reports, there will be no design modifications from the M1 model released in 2020, but there will be a significant performance bump in the form of a new Apple silicon chip, potentially the next-generation M2.
Current 27-inch iMacs do not contain Apple Silicon, although that is expected to change soon. According to reports, it will include a mini led display with ProMotion technology. These devices, like the 2021 MacBook Pro lineup, will be powered by M1 Pro and M1 Max chip choices. These could be dubbed iMac Pro or just referred to as 27-inch iMacs.
Many consumers are searching for a desktop with the features of the MacBook Pros, therefore the new iMacs are in hot demand. The first generation of Apple Silicon iMacs with bright 24-inch panels debuted at Apple’s spring event last year.
Apple is also reportedly working on a new version of the Mac Pro, but at this point, it’s unclear whether these higher-end machines will be announced now or later.
Apple is currently working on a number of products that will be released in 2022. We won’t see the expected Apple Watch Series 8 or iPhone 14 until the fall, as this is a spring event. It’s also a possibility that some of the Macs in the works will arrive later this year. Because there haven’t been many updates on a new iPad Pro, it’s likely to be introduced later this year.
