ChatGPT in Apple Watch? Here is how to use it

EK Wireless | Houston's #1 Cell Phone Repair & Unlocking Store News ChatGPT in Apple Watch? Here is how to use it

The age of artificial intelligence (AI) has finally arrived; you can’t go anywhere these days without hearing something about AI in some form or another. It began with AI art from apps like Lensa, but it has now expanded to chatbots like ChatGPT, which we have all heard of.

Whatever your stance on AI is, there is no avoiding it. And, while it isn’t perfect, it can be useful in some situations. In fact, you can use ChatGPT to replace Siri on your iPhone, and you can now get ChatGPT on your wrist via an Apple Watch app.

How to Install ChatGPT on an Apple Watch

Because it is not from OpenAI, the ChatGPT app for Apple Watch is not called ChatGPT. In fact, it’s from a third-party developer called Modum B.V., and it appears to have changed names from “watchGPT.” Here’s how to locate the app.

1: Open the App Store on your iPhone or Apple Watch.

2: Type “watchGPT” or “Petey” into the search bar.

3: When you find the app “Petey – AI Assistant,” click the button to buy and download it. It is a one-time $5 payment.

Petey will now be downloaded on your Apple Watch. If you bought it on the iPhone, it should automatically download and install on your Apple Watch.

Step 5: If not, open your iPhone’s Watch app, scroll down until you find Petey, and then tap the Install button.

ChatGPT on the Apple Watch: How to Use It

You can use the Petey app right away after installing it on your Apple Watch. There is no complicated setup required, such as an OpenAI account or secret API keys. Simply open the app, enter a prompt, and you will receive an answer. The finished product can be quickly shared via email, iMessage, or social media.

For faster access, you can also make the app a complication on your Apple Watch face. Petey currently only allows you to ask one question at a time, but a future update should allow you to have a full conversation. Other features are on the way, too, such as the complication allowing direct input, the ability to use your own API key, chat history, having the app read the answer aloud, making vocal input the default, and more.

  1.  open Petey on your Apple Watch.
  2. Click on the Ask me anything input field.
  3.  Provide a prompt using Scribble or voice dictation.
  4.  Click the Done button.
  5.  The app will “think” for a few moments before responding with an answer.
  6.  Choose Share if you want to send your results to someone via Messages or Mail.
  7.  If not, press the Done button to return to the prompt input screen.
  8.  Repetition steps 2-7 until satisfied.

While this is certainly entertaining and will keep you entertained, it is important to note that the results you receive may not be completely accurate, as ChatGPT is not perfect. This is a fun way to pass the time, but don’t get too far ahead of ourselves.
